LaGrange District 102 is committed to building and sustaining a multicultural school community that fosters equity, diversity, and inclusion.Qualifications: Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a STEM-related field of study or experience 2 years of previous experience teaching and/or coursework in an assignment within the last 3 years Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of STEM concepts and instructional best practices Knowledge and Experience with MS Office Suite; Google Docs, and PowerSchool Experience is a plus Bilingual preferred Responsibilities: Implement and help develop the district's STEM curriculum and instructional practices that align with the Board of Education standards Actively participate in the implementation of the district's mission and strategic plan and the school's site plan Promote a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning and behavior appropriate to the students' grade level Regularly evaluate pupils' academic and social personal growth, keep appropriate records, and prepare progress reports Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities Plan and deliver STEM lesson plans and instructional materials for students in grades K-8, and utilize appropriate equipment for the subject area; translate lesson plans into learning experiences to develop pertinent sequential assignments, challenge students, and best utilize the available time for instruction Design hands-on project-based activities to demonstrate the application of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics skills that promote critical thinking and real-world problem solving Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students Incorporate technology, coding, robotics, and engineering design processes as developmentally appropriate Assess student learning using formative and summative assessments and provide timely feedback Align curriculum and instruction with state standards and school curriculum frameworks Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues regarding student progress and program goals Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and school events Support school-wide initiatives related to innovation, technology, and academic growth Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principals and other central office administrators Application Procedure Online applications only, please.
