HR Project Manager Position Summary The HR Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering Human Resources projects in alignment with PMO standards and governance. This role applies foundational project management skills to independently lead small to medium-sized projects and contribute to larger initiatives with limited supervision. The HR Project Manager partners closely with HR stakeholders, business leaders, and the PMO to ensure effective project execution, organizational change management, and successful adoption of delivered solutions. Key ResponsibilitiesProject Delivery & Execution Lead end-to-end delivery of HR projects from initiation through closeout using PMO-approved methodologies Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, risk and issue logs, and status reports Manage project scope, timelines, dependencies, and deliverables; escalate risks appropriately Independently manage small and medium-sized projects Contribute to larger, more complex initiatives with limited supervision Change Management & Adoption Support change management activities for HR initiatives, including: Stakeholder analysis Change impact assessments Adoption planning Partner with HR and business stakeholders to identify change risks and resistance points Support development and execution of change and communication plans Track adoption-related risks and recommend mitigation strategies Stakeholder & Team Coordination Partner with HR stakeholders, PMO leadership, and cross-functional teams to define project objectives and deliverables Facilitate project meetings and manage action items to ensure timely follow-through Communicate project status, milestones, and risks to stakeholders and leadership PMO Support & Governance Apply and support PMO standards, tools, templates, and reporting requirements Support consolidated project status and financial reporting for HR initiatives Assist with governance activities, audits, and process adherence Continuous Improvement Participate in lessons learned sessions, retrospectives, and post-project reviews Identify opportunities to improve HR project delivery processes and PMO practices Support implementation of new PMO tools, methodologies, and best practices QualificationsEducation Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Project Management, Engineering, or related field Experience 3-5 years of experience managing projects or programs within Human Resources Experience working with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders Experience contributing to PMO governance and reporting activities preferred Technical & Professional Skills Foundational knowledge of project management methodologies (Waterfall and Agile) Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Effective written and verbal communication skills Certifications Project Management certification (CAPM, PMP, or equivalent) preferred Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer Ability to communicate effectively in person, virtually, and via phone Ability to read, analyze, and interpret reports and documentation Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
