Position Overview Our client, a leader in the cybersecurity space, is seeking a Senior Network & VPN Engineer to own and optimize their on-prem networking environment. This role is heavily focused on advanced networking, VPN architecture, and secure connectivity, supporting a self-hosted infrastructure that requires high availability, strong security controls, and hands-on expertise.This is an ideal opportunity for a networking specialist rather than a general IT infrastructure professional. Compensation: $90,000-$120,000 base + benefits + bonus (flexible based on experience) Location: Fully onsite, Monday-Friday | Orlando, FLKey Responsibilities Networking & VPN (Primary Focus) Design, implement, and support site-to-site and remote access VPNs in secure, high-availability environments Configure and manage enterprise networking equipment including switches, routers, firewalls, and access points Own VLANs, routing, subnetting, and traffic segmentation to optimize performance and security Ensure network uptime through HA configurations (HSRP, VRRP, LACP, failover strategies) Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance using SNMP, Syslog, NetFlow, and similar tools Security & Connectivity Enforce network security best practices, firewall policies, and secure access controls Support MFA, RBAC, and secure communication protocols Partner with internal security teams to remediate vulnerabilities and support audits Supporting Infrastructure (Secondary / Nice-to-Have) Support Windows Server and Active Directory environments as they relate to network services Assist with Hyper-V environments from a networking/connectivity perspective Provide limited support for load balancers (F5, HAProxy) related to traffic routing Automate networking or operational tasks using PowerShell where applicable Qualifications 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise networking roles Deep expertise in VPN technologies (site-to-site, remote access, secure tunnels) Strong background in on-prem, self-hosted environments Advanced understanding of routing, switching, firewalls, and network security Experience supporting high-availability and failover network designs Ability to troubleshoot complex network and connectivity issues end-to-end
