Contract Role - Staff Senior Maintenance Specialist in Chattanooga TN 2 years contract The Staff Senior Maintenance Specialist develops and evaluates maintenance programs for specified equipment in thepower delivery grid or transmission communication system. This role reviews component performance, analyzes maintenance effectiveness, and implements program or design changes to drive improvements in reliability, availability, and productivity. Key Responsibilities Develop and evaluate maintenance programs for assigned components within thepower delivery grid or transmission communication systems. Review performance of components and associated maintenance program requirements to ensure operational reliability. Analyze the effectiveness of current maintenance methods and procedures; initiate improvements to maintenance programs and/or equipment designs. Apply advanced and contemporary knowledge of operational support principles, practices, and procedures to execute major, complex projects. Develop and implement preventive maintenance activities for specified components. Create diagnostic techniques and establish standards for work performance and material stocking levels for maintenance operations. Review and assess the effectiveness of preventive and corrective maintenance activities; recommend enhancements to improve equipment availability and reliability. Develop maintenance procedures, identify optimal work methods, and resolve technical problems identified by technicians or craft personnel. Observe field maintenance practices and develop new or improved procedures based on OSHA, ANSI, IEEE, NESC standards, andrequirements. Develop, identify, and deliver technical training sessions related to appropriate maintenance methods for power delivery components (ranging from new to obsolete). Supervisory Responsibilities: May coordinate and direct the activities of other personnel involved in specialized diagnostic and repair work. Education and Experience Requirements Relevant technical, engineering, or maintenance-related education and experience (specific details typically defined by). Applicable certificates, licenses, and registrations as required for specialized electrical, mechanical, or communication systems maintenance. Must meet any additionalsafety, compliance, or operational requirements.
