The Contract Administrator supports project teams by managing and administering contracts, subcontracts, change orders, purchase orders, and related documentation across commercial ground-up construction projects including retail, restaurants, banks, daycares, gas stations, hospitality, and storage facilities. This role ensures contractual compliance, accuracy, risk mitigation, and consistency across multiple project types. Essential Duties Draft, review, issue, and maintain owner contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders Ensure contract terms meet company standards and legal/compliance requirements Maintain accurate contract logs and execution records Support subcontractor onboarding including insurance certificates, W-9s, and executed agreements Monitor subcontractor compliance with contractual and insurance requirements Assist with documenting, reviewing, and tracking change orders Coordinate contract documentation with accounting for pay applications, lien waivers, and billing Support project closeout documentation and archiving Collaborate with project managers, accounting, legal, and operations teams Attend meetings and professional development opportunities Other duties as assigned Education, Experience and Qualifications:Required: Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. 2+ years of contract administration or construction administration experience Experience with commercial or ground-up construction projects Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications. Strong project management skills Strong analysis and critical thinking skills for problem solving Deadline and detail-oriented and able to work in a fast paced construction environment Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Able to work well across teams and departments Strong written and verbal communication skills Computer proficiency in a Windows environment and Microsoft Office Valid Driver's license with clean driving record Able to pass a background and drug screen Able to obtain OSHA 30 certification Preferred: Experience with AIA contracts and national construction projects Experience with Procore, Smart Sheets and Acumatica Understanding of insurance, bonding, and compliance requirements Physical Demands Include: Routine physical demands for the office environment while in the office: Operates all office equipment such as computer, copier, printer, and telephone. While performing the duties of this job, employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Long periods of time in front of a computer could be required. The employee may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Some occasional travel may be required for this position.
