Sr Java Engineer

Opening / Selling Statement - Our client is seeking a Sr Level Java engineer for engineering and delivery microservices and API's to support Customer Data. The team supports various mid-layer services across the organization and to external partners and is seeking a strong Java Engineer with Azure cloud experience. Best qualified candidates will have strong experiences in Java 8+, Azure Cloud, Containerization, Python, Data Streaming, and Agile/Scrum. Required Skills -• Java8 • Springboot • Containers • HTTP/REST • Test Framework Job Duties -• Be an active participant in all scrum ceremonies and lead in the delivery of the strategic roadmap. • Help define project scope & specifications, and estimate resources required to develop the proposed solution. • Ensure that specifications and requirements are clearly articulated to the development teams and monitor timelines & progress. • Propose technical solutions. • Delivery of well-designed, high-quality, fully functional, properly tested features, fixes, and enhancements. • Responsible for the full application development lifecycle and support. • Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance. • Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and new technologies and presenting these for architectural review. • Troubleshooting and debugging to optimize performance. • Provide subject matter expertise and direction, guidance, and support on complex engagements. Job Requirements -• 7+ engineering • 6+ Java 17+ (2021+), including functional programming • 4+ Spring Boot v3+ (2022+) • 3+ Docker/Kubernetes (fundamentals, scale up/down, deployment) • 3+ NoSQL & RDBMS - Cassandra, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch • Python+Spark/Databricks • Functional & nonfunctional testing: jbehave, cucumber, selenium, junit / Gatling, JMeter, OWasp • Azure, Git, ADO/Jenkins, CICD • Agile/Scrum Desired Skills & Experience -• Streaming: Kafka, Kinesis, and Event Hubs are strongly desired • Datadog or New Relic a plus • Elastic Search a plus • Apigee a plus Required Skills : Java Basic Qualification : Additional Skills : Test Engineer This is a high PRIORITY requisition.
