Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Respiratory Therapist to join our team on a Per Diem basis in our Cardiopulmonary department. The Respiratory Therapist (RT) is responsible for administering respiratory therapy care, life support, and diagnostic testing for patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system. The RT sets up and operates devices, such as mechanical ventilators, BiPap units, etc. as appropriate to licensure/training Essential Functions: Delivers direct cardiopulmonary care treatments Initiates and maintains cardiopulmonary life support measures Maintains appropriate documentation on care given, patient response, physician orders, and medications given Instructs patients and families in respiratory care procedures and assists in coordination of home care respiratory care equipment Provides stress tests, EKG's, and pulmonary functions in a safe manner Position Requirements: Required: Graduate of an Accredited One or Two-year Respiratory Therapy Program Preferred: Associate's degree Professional Experience: Prefer one year of Respiratory Care experience Required Licensure: Current Wisconsin Respiratory Therapy License. Prefer registration or certification by the National Board of Respiratory Care Certification: Current BLS certification. Prefer current ACLS certification. Computer Competency: Basic Computer Skills are expected for this position. Access email, reference internal websites, access electronic health records, and use online learning tools to remain current with continuing education requirements. Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Beginning Skills - Able to perform basic things such as opening a document, change font, save a document, write a letter.
