Senior HVAC Technician

Snapshot / Role Overview We're seeking a Senior HVAC Technician in Phoenix to lead service operations and handle complex commercial HVAC systems in Arizona's challenging climate. Impact • Maintain critical HVAC systems for major commercial facilities in extreme desert conditions • Lead emergency response efforts during peak summer demand periods • Drive energy efficiency improvements that reduce customer operating costs • Mentor technical staff and ensure quality service delivery standards • Support Phoenix area growth through reliable mechanical system maintenance Responsibilities • Service large commercial HVAC systems including chillers and cooling towers • Perform advanced diagnostics on building automation and control systems • Lead complex repair projects and system retrofits • Coordinate with facility management on preventive maintenance schedules • Train junior technicians on advanced troubleshooting techniques • Respond to critical service calls for high-priority commercial accounts • Maintain comprehensive service documentation and customer relationships • Support business development through technical expertise and customer referrals Requirements Must-Haves:• 7+ years commercial HVAC experience in desert climate conditions • EPA Universal certification for refrigerant handling • Advanced electrical and controls troubleshooting capabilities • Valid Arizona driver's license with clean driving record • Experience with large tonnage equipment and cooling systems • Strong customer communication and leadership skills Nice-to-Haves:• Arizona HVAC contractor license or journeyman certification • Building automation systems training and certification • OSHA 30 certification for construction safety • Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication abilities Compensation & Logistics Competitive salary depending on experience; benefits include health insurance, dental coverage, PTO, holidays, retirement plan, and company vehicle.
