Benefits:401(k)Free uniformsPaid time offTraining & developmentJob SummaryWe are looking for a skilled Mechanic to join our busy service and repair facility, As a Mechanic you will responsible for the timely completion of assigned repair, warranty, and preventive maintenance on emergency vehiclesAs a Mechanic, you must have an in-depth understanding of all vehicle systems and components. You will also be responsible for maintaining shop equipment, assisting other technicians as needed, and projecting a professional and competent environment.The ideal candidate is skilled in communicating with customers and supervisors, as well as working independently.ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair vehicles coming into the shopCarry out routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as pump testing and chassis servicesConduct in-depth vehicle inspections of all systems, including engine, fire pumps, and electrical systemsMust be able to work after hours including emergency call out for breakdowns as needed.Completes service-related paperwork at the completion of assigned project or at the conclusion of the shift using the FULLBAY service programAssist in delivery and conduct in-service training of new vehicles to customer locations.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED is requiredAutomotive Service Excellence/ASE certification, Society of Automotive Engineers/SAE certification, or EVT Certifications are preferred but not required.Valid NYS Driver’s License - must meet insurance underwriting requirements, Commercial Driver’s License (Class B) must be obtained within 180 days of hire (if not already possessed).NYS Inspectors License for Heavy Vehicles must also be obtained within 120 days of hire (if not already possessed).
