Bookkeeper (Volunteer)

Organization: For the Breast of Us Location: Virtual About Us: For the Breast of Us is the first inclusive community created by and for women of color impacted by breast cancer. Through our pillars of Advocacy, Community, and Education, we amplify voices, provide culturally relevant resources, and create sisterhood in survivorship. Role Overview: We are seeking a volunteer bookkeeper to help us stay on top of our finances as we grow. Your work will ensure transparency, accuracy, and smooth financial operations so we can keep our focus on uplifting women of color impacted by breast cancer. Responsibilities: Maintain accurate financial records in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Wave, or Excel) Track income, donations, and expenses Reconcile bank and credit card statements Prepare simple monthly financial reports for leadership Support budgeting and event tracking (e.g., Breast Cancer BaddieCon) Ideal Candidate: Experience in bookkeeping or accounting (nonprofit experience a plus) Detail-oriented and organized Able to maintain confidentiality and accuracy Familiarity with QuickBooks, Wave, or similar tools
