Travel PICU Registered Nurse - $1,708 per week

Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity:RN - PICU Job Details:• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (1900-0700)• 13-week contract assignment• No call requirements• Work 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule• Required certifications: PALS, BLS, ACLS• Previous PICU experience required with ventilators and drips• NICU experience preferred• 1-2 years PICU experience preferred• Patient ratios: 2 ICU patients to 1 RN, 1 ICU/2 IMC to 1 RN, or 1 ICU and 2 medical-surgical to 1 RN• Work with equipment including Alaris IV pumps and ventilators• Use Meditech EMR system• Care for patients with respiratory illnesses using HFNC, EMU seizure monitoring, and various PICU diagnoses• Must be a team player with positive attitude and openness to feedback• Navy scrubs required, no artificial nails allowed• Work in smaller unit with great teamwork and camaraderie between all staff Facility:This healthcare facility features a 6-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit located on the first floor of a dedicated children's hospital. The unit maintains an exceptional safety record, being CLABSI/CAUTI free since 2014. The facility provides specialized pediatric critical care services with a focus on respiratory illnesses and seizure monitoring, while maintaining level 4 trauma capabilities. The unit is known for its smaller size fostering excellent teamwork and collaboration among nursing staff, respiratory therapists, ancillary support, and physicians.
