We are an inclusive community dedicated to investing in relationships and authentically valuing others.As a Youth Permanency Specialist, you'll work directly with youth and families to help them understand their permanency needs, process their history, and strengthen the relationships that support long‑term connection. This position is primarily remote, with regular travel throughout Lane County, Oregon to meet with youth, caregivers, and community partners. Competitive salary $20.60 - $22.00/hourFlexible schedule to meet position demandsComprehensive benefits packageMission‑driven culture focused on youth permanency and social justice What You'll Do Review case plans, evaluations, and background materials to understand each youth's needsCollaborate with ODHS staff, caregivers, CASA volunteers, and community partnersProvide direct services using models such as: 3‑5‑7© Model and Life Story WorkTrauma‑informed parenting strategies (including Collaborative Problem Solving)Engagement with natural supports and family members Support youth in exploring their permanency goals, processing losses, and rebuilding connectionsFacilitate clarification work, visits, and relationship transitionsSupport resource families in preparing youth for reunification, adoption, guardianship, or long‑term foster careMaintain timely case notes, reports, and documentationParticipate in team meetings, professional development, and agency trainings (including some in‑person meetings at Portland headquarters) What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree + 2 years of experience in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field OR equivalent education and experience Familiarity with the ODHS Child Welfare system, child development, and trauma‑informed careExperience supporting youth with behavioral, developmental, and social‑emotional needsStrong communication skills-verbal, written, and interpersonalAbility to manage multiple priorities with professionalism and empathyAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProficiency with Microsoft Office and case management systems (including ETO)Reliable transportation and ability to travel regularly within Lane CountyValid driver's license, auto insurance, and acceptable driving recordAbility to provide official or unofficial transcripts Preferred: Direct service experience with youth and familiesLived or professional experience with foster careBilingual/bicultural (English/Spanish) Ready to make a difference?
