Job Full Description Job Description: This list of responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management deems necessary. Employees are and will be held accountable for all duties of the job. • Maintain the quality record matrix and quality forms • Assist in the development of new work instructions and forms • Perform analysis on select processes and report findings • Recommend updated or new processes • Responsible for the detection of defective material and initiation of defective material reports • Assist in the quarantine of defective materials • Administer approved changes to the quality system • Use a variety of precision measuring instruments and gaging equipment including comparator, micrometer, caliper, MicroVu, Oasis operation, hard gages, height gages GO/NO GO gages, thread gages, profilometer and roundness checkers • Accuracy verification of gages and measuring equipment • Assist in QA and ISO audits • All other duties as assigned Equipment you will work with: Caliper Micrometer Depth Micrometer Height & Thread Gages Pin & Ring Gages Drop Indicators Comparator Optical Comparator MicroVu CMM Keyance Oasis Zeis Roundness Checker ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Check dimensional accuracy and conformance against published specifications on first piece, In-Process, Finished Goods, Receiving and Outside Process Inspection. • Use a variety of precision measuring instruments and gaging equipment including comparators, micrometers, calipers, hard gages, GO/NO GO gages, CMM, profilometer, Roncom, MicroVu and Oasis. • Maintain accurate inspection records and certificates per the Quality Management System requirements • Perform part layout for PPAP, FAI/ISIR and Other Customer Requests • Perform analysis on select processes and report findings • Responsible for the detection of defective material and initiation of defective material reports • Assists in the quarantine of defective materials • Assist with orientation of production employees on quality system procedures, gage maintenance and gage calibration REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of knowledge, skills and/or abilities required. • High School Diploma and/or G.E.D. plus 1+ year quality assurance experience • Possess general knowledge of manufacturing and quality processes • Mechanically and mathematically adept • Exhibit strong attention to detail, problem solving, time management and interpersonal skills • Possess data entry and computer skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite and ERP applications • Must be quality conscious and in continual pursuit of improvement • Exhibit core values of integrity and accountability • Maintain a clean, orderly and efficient work area • Ability to work with limited supervision, in a team environment and in a solo capacity • Demonstrates ability to read, write, speak, hear and interpret documents and instructions from both verbal and written English. • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls and to reach with hands, arms and feet • Frequently required to talk and hear, to stand, walk or sit; to balance, stoop and crouch • Occasionally required to push, pull and/or safely lift various pieces of equipment or parts weighing up to 35 pounds from floor to table height • Vision abilities (corrective or non) include close range, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus • Ability to understand and comply with all company, safety and quality policies and procedures and advocate ISO system standards WORKING CONDITIONS: • Exposure to moderate noises • Temperature variances • Exposure to fumes, chemicals and airborne particles Full-Time (Custom Part-Time Shifts Available for Qualified Machinists) Salary Range: $23-$27 Hourly DOE Shifts Available: M-F 1st shift: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Janesville, WI 3408 941 North Washington St Janesville, WI 53548
