What You'll be Doing: The Wolters Kluwer Medical Education & Medical Practice (MEMP) team is searching for a Senior Content Editing Specialist to assist our Medical & Health Professions Editorial staff. You will collaborate with various cross-functional roles, including content development, marketing, sales, and product management. This entry-level position is a pathway to understanding the evolving business models in medical education, catering to faculty, students, and healthcare professionals. Your contributions will be vital to the success of the MEMP portfolio, supporting Acquisitions and Development Editors, developing new products, maintaining existing content, and implementing standardized processes to enhance teamwork. The ideal candidate is a perceptive listener with an eye for recognizing common challenges across teams. You will be adaptable to changes, embracing new opportunities as they arise. Key Tasks: Manage project schedules, track deliverables, coordinate meetings, and regularly report status. Process contracts and coordinate necessary signatures. Coordinate with authors and vendors for setup in payment portals. Process invoices and ensure timely payments. Track spending against various budgets. Work with team coordinators to create and update internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Maintain understanding of market trends, sales, and analytics. Utilize internal systems for managing product records and communication. Support editorial management tasks and project assignments. Assist in the development and revision of medical education content. Respond to customer support requests within the same day. Attend editorial meetings, coordinate schedules, and follow up on action items. Contribute to research initiatives and manage related projects. You're a Great Fit if You Have: Bachelor's degree. Understanding of project management practices. Preferably six months+ of experience in digital content products. Interest in the medical publishing industry. Strong knowledge of Excel, including formulas and functions. Analytical abilities with data-driven decision-making skills. Independently manage daily tasks while seeking guidance as needed. Effectively juggle priorities and meet deadlines. Take personal ownership for your commitments. Demonstrate integrity and a response to feedback. Offer innovative ideas for process improvements. Collaborate well with diverse colleagues. Show commitment to quality outcomes. Approach problems proactively and contribute valuable solutions. Communicate clearly and professionally with all stakeholders. Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies.
