Job Description Recruitment Incentive Bonus: may be eligible for $3000 recruitment incentive bonus based on eligibility requirements. Job Summary: The Physical Therapist- INF® assesses, plans, and implements Intraneural Facilitation treatments, food testing with neurovascular index, video consultation, Intraneural Facilitation Home Exercise instruction, and Neurovascular Index assessments for patients that are referred or prescribed. Provides quality services autonomously in at the Neurovascular Therapy Center. The physical therapist also administers traditional outpatient orthopedic physical therapy care. The therapist Assists patients to prevent or reverse neuralgia, neuropathy, and disability and aims toward the promotion of maximal patient independence with their own care of their neuropathy. Is responsible for recovery program following disease, injury, surgery, or loss of a body part using Intraneural Facilitation or standard therapy care. Provides care according to Physical Therapy, Medical Center policies and procedures and the application of treatment techniques in accordance with discipline specific designated practice act. Supervises Physical Therapy Assistant upon request. Participates in staff training sessions for learning Intraneural Facilitation and assists in mentoring other therapist who are learning this technique. Participates as designated by the clinical director in research studies involving Intraneural Facilitation. Performs other duties as needed. Education and Experience: Master's Degree in Physical Therapy required. Suitable combination of education, training or experience along with a California license in Physical Therapy is acceptable. Three years of physical therapy experience preferred. Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of required equipment, assessment tools, and Home Medical Equipment (HME). Knowledgeable in documentation required by regulatory agencies. Able to: read; write legibly; speak in English (and Spanish preferred) with professional quality; use computer and software programs necessary to the position; troubleshoot and calibrate patient care equipment. Relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; be assertive and consistent in following and/or enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction. Think critically; work independently with minimal supervision; perform basic math functions; manage multiple assignments effectively; work well under pressure; problem solve; organize and prioritize workload; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail. Distinguish colors and smells as necessary for patient care; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone; identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the patient care; see adequately to read computer screens, medical records, and written documents necessary to position; discern temperature variances through touch. Licensures and Certifications: Current license by California Board of Physical Therapy required. Intraneural Facilitation (INF®) Certification required within 90 days of hire.
