Member Experience Associate (Front Desk)Arch Amenities Group, the world's leading fitness and amenity management firm, is seeking a dedicated and service-oriented Member Experience Associate (MEA) to support a premier fitness facility serving the Grandview Heights, Italian Village, Quarry Trails, and Harrison West neighborhoods in Columbus, OH. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a front-of-house, member-facing environment, values hospitality, and takes pride in maintaining a polished, welcoming space. Full-Time Positions AvailablePosition Summary The Member Experience Associate plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional front desk and in-facility experience for members and guests. Reporting to the Member Experience Manager, the MEA serves as the primary point of contact during staffed hours-welcoming members, managing account needs, maintaining facility standards, and supporting daily operations. This role is key to member satisfaction, retention, and community culture, ensuring the gym operates smoothly, professionally, and safely. Key ResponsibilitiesFront Desk & Member SupportGreet members and guests warmly and professionally upon arrival. Serve as the first point of contact for questions related to memberships, amenities, schedules, and policies. Review and address any alerts, notes, or flags on member accounts. Ensure proper desk coverage when stepping away from the front desk. Member Account & POS TransactionsProcess membership sign-ups, renewals, freezes, and cancellations accurately. Assist with billing questions and account inquiries. Handle retail, service, and POS transactions with attention to detail. Schedule appointments and assist with class or service inquiries as needed. Facility Standards & CleanlinessMaintain a clean, organized, and "photo-ready" front desk and common areas. Complete daily cleaning and opening/closing checklists. Restock supplies, towels, and retail inventory. Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly. Use downtime efficiently by tidying spaces, checking equipment, and organizing inventory. Operations & CommunicationCommunicate clearly with incoming and outgoing staff during shift transitions. Document important updates in the staff communication log. Notify the Manager on Duty of any member concerns, incidents, or facility issues. Support administrative tasks and special projects as assigned. Safety, Access & Policy EnforcementMonitor facility access to ensure only authorized individuals enter the gym. Enforce gym rules and policies in a professional, respectful manner. Respond to and document incidents following established safety protocols. Events & Community SupportAssist with on-site execution of member events, promotions, and activations. Support community engagement initiatives that enhance the member experience. Skills & QualificationsRequired SkillsStrong customer service and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle member concerns professionally. High attention to detail in transactions, cleanliness, and communication. Comfort using POS systems, gym management software, and basic computer programs. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Education & ExperienceRequired: High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred: Prior customer service or hospitality experience (fitness or wellness environment a plus). Preferred Certifications: Group Fitness, Personal Training, CPR/AED/First Aid (or willingness to obtain). Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 45 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, and move throughout the facility for extended periods. Additional InformationFull-time roles available. Availability for mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends preferred. Assist with monthly inventory checks and member feedback initiatives. Support management in achieving monthly KPIs related to member experience and operations.
