Ambulatory Care Patient Nurse ManagerGeneral Pediatrics Full Time 88025BR Job Summary Involves the provision of integrated and accessible primary and specialty patient care services in a clinic or center environment. Care is provided by clinicians and assistants who are accountable for addressing a large majority of personal health care needs and developing a sustainable partnership with patients. Ensures optimal patient outcomes through effective leadership and / or provision of patient care delivery in healthcare clinics or centers. Promotes shared decision-making at all levels to ensure a shared voice in practices, exchange of ideas, enhanced communication, and continually improved patient services. Management levels may also be responsible for clinic operations. (Note, for only clinic operations, see Ambulatory Administration job function.) The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $148,700 - $254,800 (Annual Rate). To learn more about the benefits of working at UCSF, including total compensation, please visit: Department Description UCSF Pediatric Primary Care Site at Mount Zion and the Adolescent and Young Adult Clinic at Mission Bay are clinical sites that offer Primary Care as well as Adult and Pediatric multi-specialty services. There are core specialties located in these sites 5 days per week in combination with multiple specialty services that are scheduled throughout the week. Radiology is located on site and provides basic plain film and ultrasounds services. The clinical staff includes Medical Assistants, Patient Care Coordinators, Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioners, Licensed Vocational Nurses, and Registered Nurses. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required. Ambulatory Experience Registered Nurse in the State of California and / or licensure in relevant clinical specialty. BLS - Basic Life Support Strong clinic / center patient care management skills. Practice management knowledge in scheduling, customer-service methods, regulatory compliance, accreditation requirements, and / or information technology. Broad knowledge of patient population served and the requirements for the delivery of services. Strong interpersonal skills to create and maintain a climate for effective communication and collaborative decision making. Strong leadership, fiscal, and operations management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, management, and staff from all disciplines. Ability to create and maintain a goal-oriented climate of teamwork, collaboration, and co Knowledge of relevant healthcare information technology and patient care workflows and processes. Demonstrated knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, as well as related legislative, accreditation, licensing, and compliance environments. Proven ability to organize, manage multiple priorities, and delegate work functions efficiently. Previous supervisory and/or management experience Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree preferred. PALS - Pediatric Advance Life Support Registered Nurse Board Certified Knowledge of current and emerging best practices and technologies in the clinic / center healthcare industry. 3-5 years of clinical experience 2-3 years of progressive supervisory experience Experience with Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine and Eating Disorder Patients License/Certification Registered Nurse in the State of California and / or licensure in relevant clinical specialty.
