Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Capture photos of summer, photographing camps, campers, activities, volunteers, staff, and setting. Catalog, edit, meta tag, and publish daily selected photos from each camp and maintain an ongoing photo database of digital images. Ensure smooth execution of the program specifically by being timely, prepared, and willing to assist with immediate and unforeseen needs Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors Ability to work flexible hours to capture all parts of the camp day SALARY RANGE - $800-$850/Week WORK ENVIRONMENT: Visual and auditory ability to observe and to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency situation. Ability to lead and interact in group activities and perform related physical skills. Ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Ability to climb, push, and pull. Ability to lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds. QUALIFICATIONS: Personal Photography equipment preferred Experience photographing a variety of subjects where people, their activities, and their interactions are the primary focus A body of photography work that demonstrates a growing understanding of both the technical and creative sides of photography: light, composition, subject, moment, context, story, and emotion Ability to work independently, meeting deadlines YMCA COMPETENCIES (Leader): Mission Advancement: Accepts and demonstrates the Ys values.
