Retreat Center Director - Weber Center We are seeking a Director to join our Weber Center team on the Adrian Dominican Sisters Motherhouse Campus in Adrian, MI. The Weber Center is a Retreat and Conference Center that welcomes diverse groups and individuals seeking a quiet, reflective environment. Weber also serves as a place of hospitality for congregational gatherings and as a home for the guests and families of Sisters. The Weber Shop offers resources for spiritual growth such as contemporary books, greeting cards and gifts. The Director is responsible for the administration of the Weber Center by providing meaningful programming and management of hospitality for the women of the Congregation and all guests. Position start date is anticipated to be 6/1/26, but there is flexibility for negotiating an earlier start if necessary.Pay Range: $80,000 - 90,000/year based on experience. Exempt/Salaried.Responsibilities: Provide leadership to ensure that Weber Center serves as a center of hospitality for all guests and for members of the Adrian Dominican Community. Plan and execute programs, workshops, retreats, and conferences consistent with the vision of Weber Center. With assistance from the Communications Office, facilitate marketing efforts including outreach to the wider community, program research, assessment, public relations, advertising, and the future development of the Center. Hire, direct, and provide appropriate support, challenge, affirmation and performance evaluation for the Weber Center Assistant Director, Facility Manager, Weber Shop Manager, and oversee INAI at Madden.Responsible for creating, submitting and monitoring the Weber Center capital and operating budgets in cooperation with Assistant Director. Initiate staff in-service programs and on-going professional growth and development in coordination with the Human Resources Department.Serve as part of the Campus Administration Team and attend meetings related to this group. Stay abreast of topics, speakers, programs and other initiatives that might be appropriate for Weber Center.Represent Weber Center on the national, diocesan, and local levels.Hospitality duties when scheduled, i.e., greet, welcome and provide orientation for all sponsored and hosted groups/guests; remain available for various services during scheduled events.Provide and foster the spirit of Adrian Dominican hospitality and the creation of a reflective environment for staff and guests.Demonstrate proper leadership and reinforce a positive attitude towards safety in the workplace. Oversee the safety and general needs of the Sister residents of the third floor.Requirements:Education: Bachelor's degree in relevant field. Experience: Managerial experience in an administrative position. Experience fostering relationships in order to engage presenters at local, regional and national level strongly preferred. Demonstrated level of accomplishment utilizing the skills and abilities listed below.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Some knowledge of the Catholic faith and contemporary spirituality, including insights from science, indigenous wisdom, and contemplative-meditative traditions as well as global issues.Understanding of and ability to articulate the vision and charism of the Adrian Dominican Sisters Congregation.Strong interpersonal, communication and decision-making skills.Ability to work with a variety of personalities with tact and professionalism. Ability to develop and implement creative and collaborative programming.Ability to foster and leverage relationships in the local community and beyond to grow opportunities for programming. Organizational and administrative/management experience essential.Capacity to build a team and see themself as part of that team. Ability to adjust to a position that evolves and to rearrange priorities. Physical: Ability to move from location to location on campus.Being sighted and capable of hearing is necessary.Annual influenza vaccination is required for this position. Professional and reflective environment which requires flexibility, adaptation to a variety of activities and working hours and a tolerance for interruptions.
