Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Special Procedures Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 03/02/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Opportunity:Technician - Interventional Radiology Job Details:• Work 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM• 40 guaranteed hours per week (no guaranteed hours during first 2 weeks of contract)• 13-week contract assignment• On-call required every 4 weeks• Float to units with similar skillset as needed• Must wear Galaxy Blue scrubs• 3+ years of interventional radiology experience required (Neurovascular and VIR)• Associate of Applied Science or graduate of accredited Radiology Program required• Required certifications: ARRT-R, ARRT-VI or ARRT-CV, Texas Medical Board Certification (MRT), BLS & ACLS through AHA• Work with ultrasonographic units, fluoroscopic units, CT equipment, Electronic Health Records, and PACS systems• Complete routine to complex body and neuro-interventional procedures• Provide direct assistance to physicians with all interventional procedures• Must be able to push/pull minimum 50 pounds, walk long distances, and stand continuously for 240 minutes• May be exposed to communicable diseases, blood borne pathogens, radiation, hazardous medications, and combative patients• Holiday rotation as needed Facility:This academic medical center serves as a major teaching hospital and healthcare facility, providing comprehensive interventional radiology services including both neurovascular and vascular interventional procedures.
