Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Assembler E Job Location: San Leandro, CA (This position is 100% onsite) Business Unit: Randtron 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked - and have every other Friday off. Position Summary: Plans work and layout, sets up and fabricates a wide variety of intricate, experimental and/or production sheet metal parts and final assemblies from raw material. Includes shears, brakes, drills, sanders, degreasing baths, spray painting, silk screening, non-conformance, and manual mills and lathes, mig, tig and spot welding and other hand tools and equipment. Works with and interprets standard work instructions, charts, tables, blueprints, formulas, sketches, verbal and electronic orders, job layouts, etc. to accomplish assigned work. Checks and inspects operations against specified tolerances. Overall Summary Highly skilled and experience senior support individual contributor. Works autonomously. Acts as a mentor to lower level peers and provides guidance on tasks. Makes recommendations for process improvements. Works on assignments requiring development of concepts and techniques. Communication & Influence Communicates with contacts typically within and outside the department on matters that involve explaining complex assignments, solving problems and initiating process improvements. Makes recommendations for new procedures. Innovation & Complexity Work requires independent action and a high degree of initiatives to resolve issues. Works on complex assignments requiring development of concepts and techniques. Organization Impact Works to achieve operational targets within job area which has significant impact on the overall achievement of results for the department. Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments. Often acts as a facilitator and team leader. Education & Experience Requires advanced job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
