Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits Retirement savings plans with company match Paid time off and paid holidays Professional development and promotional opportunities A supportive team culture focused on excellence and patient safety What You'll DoAs a Facilities Compliance Monitor, you will support Plant Engineering leadership by ensuring all regulatory compliance documentation, reporting, and training requirements are accurate, current, and survey-ready across assigned facilities. Maintain and audit regulatory and accreditation documentation in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements Support compliance efforts related to The Joint Commission, DNV, CMS Conditions of Participation, OSHA standards, Environment of Care, and Life Safety Code Assist with Environment of Care Committee documentation, reporting, and follow-up actions Utilize and maintain data within computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) Track, organize, and report compliance metrics using advanced Microsoft Excel skills Review building code references including NFPA and International Code Council (ICC) codes Read and interpret Life Safety drawings, fire alarm, sprinkler, HVAC, and electrical plans Conduct routine facility rounds and travel daily to Novant facilities in the Charlotte region; travel to the Winston-Salem region as needed Partner with facility leadership and department teams to ensure survey readiness and continuous compliance Work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment What We're Looking ForEducation: High School Diploma or GED, required Associate degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business Management, or related field preferred Experience: Five years of experience in a healthcare setting with management responsibility for Plant Engineering regulatory and accreditation documentation (required) Experience with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, including The Joint Commission and DNV (required) Experience supporting an Environment of Care Committee in a hospital, ambulatory surgery center, or long-term care facility (preferred) Previous healthcare facility maintenance experience strongly preferred Licensure/Certifications: Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CFHM), preferred Valid driver’s license (required) Required Skills & Competencies: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills highly preferred Strong knowledge of Joint Commission standards, Environment of Care, Life Safety Code, CMS Conditions of Participation, and OSHA training requirements Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) Ability to interpret building codes including NFPA and ICC standards Ability to read and interpret building plans and technical drawings Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and manage shifting priorities Strong customer service skills and ability to collaborate with all levels of leadership Why Choose Novant Health?At Novant Health, we believe remarkable care starts with compassion for our patients, our communities, and each other.
