Responsibility Safety First, ensure that the Quality Control team complies with all safety guidelines and works in a safe environment. Report all safety related issues immediately Provide Leadership to QC Team and production. Supervise, train, and coach QC Team Members. Develop training material as needed Develop training and development plans for QC Team Members. Participate in developing quality minded training for production TM's Provide leadership and ownership in developing solutions to customer quality problems Develop sorting activities and provide clean point to the customer. Updated results of sorting to leadership as needed. Develop, implement and monitor Quality Inspection processes, standards, and product dimensioning and testing Lead and participate in problem solving, root cause analysis using problem solving tools with multidisciplinary teams. Use go and see (Gemba) during this process Maintain Quality System documentation as required Actively develop Kaizen (continuous improvement) activities. Use PDCA and metrics to measure success of Kaizen activities as needed Track and record of internal KPIs (key process indicators) Effectively communicate with all departments and all levels of leadership. Prepare and communicate daily shift information reports Perform other duties as required Qualifications Engineering or associate degree required in engineering desired 3 years minimum experience in a Quality Supervisor position Strong understanding of quality assurance procedures and systems including ISO9001 Proven experience in quality related problem solving Automotive industry experience required Computer literacy (able to use Excel, Word, Power Point, customer portals) Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish) Working Conditions Position is for night shift with the possibility of working, Saturdays/Sundays to support Production as needed. Flexible hours to validate and ensure proper implementation of process changes Fast-paced manufacturing environment Exposure with Injection molding, paint and assembly process. Tier 1 preferred. Able to support customer concerns and performing on-site visits as required.
