Travel RN - Med/Surg Float Pool

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a MS/Tele Float Pool position at a community hospital, requiring telemetry experience and prior travel experience for weekend day shifts. Job Details • Work setting is a community hospital MS/Tele Float Pool unit, • Patient population includes medical-surgical and telemetry patients requiring cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management, • Patient ratio of 1:6, • Schedule is 3x12-hour day shifts, 7:00-19:30, working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, • Floating required within skillset and acuity level, • Charting is performed in Cerner (required), Job Requirements • Active MD or compact RN license required, • Required certifications: BLS and NIHSS; ACLS preferred, • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, • Prior travel nursing experience required, • Community hospital experience required, • Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms, • Cerner EMR experience required, • Two supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration, • Copy of driver's license required for consideration, Additional Information • Clinical responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy, blood product administration, PICC and port management, heparin protocols, respiratory care (BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, tracheostomy, chest tubes), wound care, and neurological and orthopedic patient care, • Charge nurse experience is preferred, • Candidates who have previously worked for this health system must have been separated for a minimum of one year before being eligible to apply, • RTO is not permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment; no more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract, and all RTO must be declared upfront, • Local candidates residing within 60 miles are accepted; candidate's address must match their driver's license to determine local status, • Facility-specific compliance modules must be completed within one week of signing the contract, • Labs and DS appointment must be completed within 48 hours of signing the contract, • Manager interviews are not guaranteed; candidates should be comfortable proceeding without one,
