Assignment DurationThis is an assignment for 16-32 weeks. Schedule12-hour night shifts, Monday to Sunday with weekends required. Bi-weekly orientations occur on Mondays. Job DescriptionThe role involves providing nursing care in the Orthopedic Surgical Med/Surg unit, with the possibility of floating to similar units as needed. Candidates must be prepared to work weekends and may be asked to work more than every other weekend. Responsibilities Deliver nursing care in accordance with established protocols and procedures. Float to like units as required. Administer medications and assist in procedures related to orthopedic surgery. Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 4 years of strong Medical-Surgical (MS) nursing experience, including 2 years of orthopedic experience. Experience in large teaching and trauma centers is preferred. Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale certifications are required prior to start; ACLS certification is also needed.
