The CFO will be responsible for the financial and administrative operations, ensuring fiscal sustainability, operational excellence, and compliance with financial regulations. This role involves providing leadership in financial planning, budgeting, risk management, and institutional resource allocation. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in a related field, a minimum of 7 years' high-level administrative experience in public sector finance and administration, and proficiency in financial management software and ERP systems. Extensive experience in managing financial operations of large, complex organizations, particularly in the higher education, government, healthcare, or similar not-for-profit sectors, is essential. The CFO will also be expected to have strong budgetary and financial data analysis expertise, experience in leading enterprise budget and capital projects, and a proven track record in managing various administrative functions. Key responsibilities include developing and executing strategic budgeting and financial planning efforts, leading financial audits, and providing managerial oversight of all financial operations. The successful candidate will be an effective leader, communicator, and relationship builder, with a collegial working style and a deep understanding of higher education trends, best practices in budget models, and associated operational areas. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and extensive experience in higher education finance and administration are preferred qualifications.
