Key Responsibilities: Act as a project manager or senior technical resource for major clients, ensuring timely and budget-conscious project delivery while meeting critical client success factors. Oversee the management and execution of water and wastewater facility projects, encompassing comprehensive planning, preliminary design, and final design phases. Lead planning and design efforts on major engineering projects, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to align on objectives. Provide expert consultation in wastewater treatment, water treatment, facility planning, and construction management, while making informed decisions and solving complex problems. Engage in client presentations during professional meetings to showcase project progress and outcomes. Deliver projects successfully within established timelines and budget constraints. Utilize internal project management tools effectively to track progress and resources. Develop and maintain high-value relationships with clients and teaming partners, representing BC positively. Coordinate with client service teams to ensure client understanding and satisfaction regarding project needs. Ensure quality client services by delivering clear work products and high-quality outcomes within budget and time limits. Contribute to the enhancement of company resources and tools aimed at increasing design production and efficiency. Supervise and guide technical staff and engineers, fostering an environment of growth and development. Engage in BC's Quality Assurance/Quality Control processes to uphold project standards and excellence. Employ internal communication systems for effective tracking and collaboration on projects and opportunities. Support the professional development of staff, particularly in the areas of client service delivery, strategic planning, and communication. Meet set performance metrics for project budgets and schedules, leveraging firm resources and expertise to achieve client goals. Participate in professional societies to cultivate connections that support both BC and client objectives. Required Skills and Experience: A Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field (Civil, Environmental, etc.) is required; a Master's degree focused on wastewater and water services is preferred. Professional Engineer registration in Tennessee or the ability to obtain it via reciprocity within six months is necessary. A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in consulting and engineering services in the environmental sector, particularly with municipal clients in water and wastewater. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is preferred. Experience in marketing, proposal writing, proposal management, and making public presentations is essential. A proven ability to collaborate effectively and deliver successful projects while mentoring junior staff. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a track record of leading project teams to meet requirements and drive business growth. Strong understanding of environmental and regulatory drivers impacting clients and projects. Knowledge of strategic business management principles, encompassing planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, and coordination of personnel and resources. Technical proficiency with the capacity to convey ideas and concepts in both visual and contextual forms. A motivating leader capable of guiding teams to implement project plans successfully. Willingness to travel to ongoing projects in Memphis and Chattanooga as required. A valid driver's license with a good driving record. Compensation: The pay range for this position varies based on the employee's primary work location, with an anticipated range of $145,000 - $199,000 based on skills, experience, and education.
