Job Category Technology Compensation Overview The annual base salary range for this role is a nationwide market range, reflecting a broad scope of salaries for this position across the country. Factors influencing the actual salary include the complexity of the role, candidate qualifications, and other employment considerations. Our comprehensive benefits program also includes performance-based cash incentive awards. Salary Range $99,100.00 - $163,400.00 What Is the Opportunity? Travelers is seeking an Agile Product Owner to guide a team in delivering innovative capabilities and solutions in an agile manner. In this role, you will represent the end-user's voice and steer the daily efforts of a small-scale team, prioritizing the achievement of clearly defined outcomes over dictating the process. What Will You Do? Define, prioritize, and maintain a well-prepared backlog for your product team while accepting final outputs based on defined outcomes. Manage a backlog of deliverables while experimenting and learning to refine potential future outputs, measuring performance to adjust the roadmap as necessary. Understand team goals and strategies, ensuring alignment with the broader vision; effectively communicate these strategies to stakeholders and team members. Act as the advocate for the end-user, gathering feedback and ensuring the team's work meets all acceptance criteria. Own the team backlog, making strategic trade-off decisions to enhance overall value. Establish objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) to optimize the flow of value. Participate in business readiness efforts, managing change impacts to facilitate adoption and reduce resistance. Provide constructive feedback on work in progress, clarify requirements, and help remove obstacles while seeking continuous team improvement. Collaborate effectively with Circle Leads and peers to identify resources critical for achieving business outcomes. Share best practices across teams to promote consistency in working methods within the value stream. Encourage an inclusive and innovative team environment, fostering collaboration and self-organization. Perform other duties as assigned. What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have? Bachelor's degree. Two years of experience in Agile product management. An Agile mindset, embodying core values of openness, courage, respect, focus, and commitment. Experience implementing Agile principles and practices to drive team success. A product-focused approach that aligns with value stream objectives, serving as the guiding star for the team. Strong influence skills, capable of impacting behaviors across teams without relying on traditional hierarchy. A servant leadership style, empowering individuals to thrive as equal team members. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences. Collaboration expertise in a cross-functional environment. A commitment to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
