Project Manager/Electrical Journeyman

Electrical Project Manager (Licensed Journeyman) Location: Haltom City, TX 76052 Compensation: $81,250 Base + Bonuses Company Truck + Gas Card | PTO | 401(k) w/ 3% Match Our client is seeking a Licensed Electrical Journeyman to step into a Project Manager role overseeing commercial and industrial electrical construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who understands the field but is ready to drive projects from the office and job site - managing budgets, schedules, estimating, and client communication. Position Overview The Electrical Project Manager will oversee projects from bid award through final completion, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires strong estimating experience using McCormick software and the ability to lead both field and administrative functions. Key Responsibilities • Manage electrical construction projects from award through completion • Review blueprints, plans, specifications, and contracts • Prepare and oversee estimates using McCormick estimating software (required) • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and cost controls • Coordinate labor, subcontractors, materials, and equipment • Track project financial performance and oversee progress billing • Review RFIs, change orders, and submittals • Maintain communication with clients, vendors, field teams, and leadership • Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations • Manage multiple projects simultaneously Required Qualifications • Active Electrical Journeyman License • Experience managing electrical construction projects • Proficiency with McCormick estimating software • Strong knowledge of commercial and/or industrial electrical systems • Ability to read and interpret blueprints • Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and cost control • Supervisory or leadership experience Preferred Experience • Simpro, Procore, or TurboBid software experience • Strong Excel skills Compensation & Benefits • $81,250 base salary • Performance bonuses • Company truck and gas card • PTO • 401(k) with 3% company match • Stable, growing electrical contractor expanding in the Haltom area If you are a licensed Journeyman who wants to transition into a leadership role while still leveraging your technical expertise, this is a strong long-term opportunity with growth potential.
