ResponsibilitiesTermination of cables in the relay control panels, as well as any outdoor equipment (breakers, VT's, etc.). All necessary wiring supplies will be available, minus standard hand tools (screwdrivers, wire cutters, needle nose pliers, etc.). Supplied tools include crimpers, wire strippers and cable cutters. Instruction will be given on site as to proper wiring technique desired by the customer, as well as training on proper shield grounding of the control cable. An understanding of wiring diagrams is necessary, as this will be one of the primary means to determine cable location and termination sequence. Assistance in correcting factory wiring may be required, as well as re-wiring existing circuits during a cutover at brown field substations. QualificationsRequired: Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Complete a satisfactory criminal background check. Able to work overtime and travel out of town for periods of time. Able to climb ladders, stand for extended periods, able to lift 70 lbs. Must have a valid driver's license and currently have and be able to maintain a good driving record. Preferred: NETA certified a plus Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
