Job Title: Human Resources Manager Department: Human Resources Manager: General Counsel and Vice President of People Services Direct Reports: Recruiter, HR Generalist, Retention Coordinators Other key team/positions: Plant Managers, Supervisors, Safety Key Responsibilities: Ensure food safety, quality and legality through policy administration and training. Enforce policies and programs and oversee maintenance of accurate personnel records Respond to employee relation issues and promote high morale and a non-hostile work environment Oversee management of health benefits, workers compensation, new hire training and employment Responsible for state and federal governmental compliance with I-9 forms, applicant tracking, posters, unemployment issues, and safety issues Approve terminations and exercise care that reasons for terminationa are well documented and are not arbitrary or discriminatory Represent company in Unemployment and Workers Compensation hearings Physical Requirements:Frequently required to sit, talk, and hear; occasionally required to walk; occasionally required to feel, handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls; must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust vision focus; work is performed in a office setting with moderate noise level in the working environment Skills and Knowledge:Verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of and ability to enforce company policies and procedures Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and requirements Basic computer skills Interpersonal skills Coaching skills Ability to manage highly confidential information Competencies: Core CompetenciesIntegrity Simplicity Discipline Teamwork Servant Leadership Job Specific CompetenciesApproachable Organized Adaptability Problem solving Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
