Role Overview: At Sustainability Roundtable, Inc., marketing, events, and executive thought leadership are integrated to drive brand visibility, member engagement, and strategic growth. The Associate, Marketing & Events will play a central role in advancing SR Inc's market presence through high-quality content development, seamless event execution, and thought leadership brand amplification. This is a full-time role based in Boston, MA, with remote flexibility on Mondays and Fridays. The early career Associate will prioritize the development and execution of SR Inc's content marketing strategy, producing high-quality content across digital platforms, email campaigns, executive communications, and social media to strengthen brand authority and drive engagement. The role will also help lead the planning and execution of virtual and in-person events, ensuring seamless logistics, cohesive promotion, and strong attendee experience. In addition, the Associate will also amplify CEO thought leadership through research, drafting, and coordination of strategic communications and external engagements. This position requires strong writing, project management, executive support, and cross-functional coordination skills to ensure consistent messaging, operational excellence, and measurable growth impact. During the first quarter of employment, the Associate will report to and be managed by the Director of Membership Development to align content marketing initiatives with priority growth objectives and deepen their understanding of SR Inc's Member-Clients and prospects. Thereafter, the role will report to the Chief of Staff & Chief Sustainability Officer, with continued collaboration across membership development, service teams, and the CEO to advance thought leadership, executive positioning, and firm-wide marketing and event priorities. Key Responsibilities: Content Marketing & Thought Leadership Develop and execute a content marketing strategy that positions the firm as a thought leader in corporate sustainability, decarbonization, and clean energy procurement. Write and publish high-quality content including blog posts, executive briefs, case studies, white papers, press releases, newsletters, and LinkedIn posts aligned with strategic growth priorities. Partner with internal subject matter experts to translate complex sustainability, regulatory, and energy market topics into clear, compelling, and actionable content for executive audiences. Manage content distribution across website, email campaigns, and social media channels, optimizing for engagement, SEO performance, and lead generation. Track and analyze content performance metrics, continuously refining messaging and formats to increase visibility, audience engagement, and inbound opportunities. Event Management Support full lifecycle planning and execution of virtual and in-person events, assuming end-to-end responsibility for all event logistics, promotion, vendor coordination, attendee experience, and post-event follow-up, including industry roundtables, quarterly symposia, and prospect-focused events. Create and manage event invitations, registration flows, and speaker support. Help drive prospective member attendance at SR Inc events, roundtables, and symposia through coordinated marketing and outreach efforts. Track attendance, engagement, and outcomes to inform future programming and outreach. Provide on-site support for select in-person events across the country, including technical setup, catering coordination, and day-of logistics. Support internal travel bookings and preparation. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with the Director of Membership Development to align content strategy with business development priorities, ensuring marketing initiatives directly support member acquisition, retention, and revenue growth. Work alongside the Chief of Staff to coordinate strategic events, executive engagement opportunities, and cross-functional initiatives that strengthen client relationships and brand visibility. Collaborate with SBER and NZCB service functions to translate client insights, project outcomes, and market intelligence into high-quality thought leadership content and external communications. Serve as a connective lead across marketing, membership development, and service delivery teams to ensure cohesive messaging, consistent brand positioning, and alignment between client work and market-facing communications. CEO Thought Leadership & Administration Support Partner with the CEO to develop and amplify executive thought leadership across key channels, including strategic articles, keynote materials and media engagement. Support the CEO in advancing projects that arise by conducting research, preparing briefing materials, drafting communications, and coordinating cross-functional follow-through. Proactively manage CEO calendar and scheduling of all outside meetings with various stakeholders to advance high-value client meetings, industry engagements, and brand-building opportunities. Provide organizational and administrative support to enable efficient execution of executive priorities, including preparation for meetings, events, and other external engagements. Assist in special projects that advance firm strategy, brand positioning, and new service development, ensuring timely and high-quality execution. Skills & Qualifications: 1-3 years of experience in content marketing. At least 1 year and preferably 2 years of corporate employment. Demonstrated and impressive interest in sustainability, corporate responsibility and/or enterprise decarbonization. Content writing and editing skills able to leverage deep and broad content and AI processes to create high-quality Content Marketing. Proficiency with HubSpot for email campaigns, contact management, segmentation, website advancements, and event invitation and management. Experience using Canva (or similar tools) to create polished marketing assets and presentations. Experience with event planning from start to finish including invitations, planning and on the ground technical and room support. Ability to help drive attendance and engagement for virtual and in-person events, and help manage event logistics. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into clear, engaging content. Ability to occasionally travel. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and timelines simultaneously. Ability to track and interpret performance metrics (email open rates, engagement, event attendance) to inform improvements. Comfort collaborating directly with senior leadership and external stakeholders. High level of professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment. A commitment to SR Inc's mission and values. The position will be based in downtown Boston, require 3 days in the Boston headquarters, and require occasional travel throughout the country.
