Inspector/Packer, 1st shift

Job Description Packer Peachtree City 1st shift Temp to hire Responsible for inspection of the product for defects and acceptable appearance and packing of product in accordance with internal or customer provided specifications SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Match the lot number and product number to be packed. Inspect product according to procedures for appearance problems such as burns and discoloration and other defects as specified Ensure cleanliness and organization equipment and surrounding area at all times Ensure that all equipment used in the process is set-up and used correctly Ensure product traceability by properly recording and labeling with production lot and product information Record process data, such as defect rates, equipment issues, etc. Enter the appropriate information on all necessary documentation Comply with ISO 9001-2015/ ISO 14001-2015 Quality and Environmental Management Systems Procedures and Work Instructions. Comply with Procedures and Instructions to address our Significant and other Environmental Aspects Comply with MEI Green Procurement and Chemical Substance Guidelines, Procedures, and Instructions. Comply with all OSHA, Fire Safety, EPA and other regulatory guidelines and rules. Comply with all Company Operations, Personnel, Safety and Environmental policies. Maintain clean conditions in all associated work areas. Perform any other duties as required by supervisor or Management. REQUIRED SKILLS Good organizational skills. Possesses computer skills; excel, and other Microsoft products. Must be able to lift 35lbs. Must be able to use precision instruments QUALIFICATIONS Familiar with equipment and data collection. Familiar with ISO 9000 standards. Familiar with basic Industrial Safety Guidelines.
