Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Commercial Estimator to join our team in Orlando, United States. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects, partnering with sales teams, and managing relationships with subcontractors and suppliers. Develop comprehensive cost estimates for commercial construction projects, ensuring accuracy and competitivenessAnalyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to determine material quantities and labor requirementsCollaborate with sales teams during the project development phase to provide accurate installation pricingIdentify and select qualified subcontractors through supplier development and relationship managementLead the development of installation costing models and strategies to optimize project efficiencyConduct site visits to assess project requirements and potential challengesPrepare and review requests for proposals (RFPs) from subcontractors and suppliersNegotiate prices with vendors and subcontractors to ensure cost-effectivenessMaintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, pricing, and industry standardsParticipate in project handover meetings to ensure smooth transition from estimation to executionContinuously improve estimation processes and methodologies to enhance accuracy and efficiency Qualifications: Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent industry experienceMinimum of 5 years of project management and estimating experience in the construction industryProven experience in building systems and operational processesStrong procurement background with a focus on construction equipment and servicesExcellent cost analysis skills and solid financial knowledgeProficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ProjectExperience with industry-standard estimating softwareStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholdersExceptional organizational and time management abilitiesAnalytical mindset with keen attention to detailAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsStrong negotiation skills and experience in vendor managementCollaborative approach with the ability to work effectively in team settingsCustomer-focused attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality estimates Preferred Qualifications: Experience in design-build construction projectsKnowledge of HVAC systems and electrical industry installationsFamiliarity with sustainable building practices and LEED certification processesMulti-language capabilities Additional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
