Join a dedicated educational team in Kennett Square, PA! We are seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide 1:1 behavioral support and help students excel in a classroom setting. Schedule: Elementary: 8:45 AM - 3:45 PM Secondary: 7:45 AM - 2:45 PM Contract guaranteed through the end of the school year Job Summary: The School Behavioral Technician plays a key role in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. Working closely with students, teachers, and staff, this position provides support and intervention strategies for students with behavioral challenges. The role is essential in fostering a safe, respectful atmosphere that supports student success. Key Responsibilities: -Conduct behavioral assessments to identify student needs and challenges -Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and special education staff to develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) -Implement interventions and strategies outlined in BIPs consistently and effectively -Collect and maintain accurate data on student behavior and progress -Respond to and de-escalate crisis situations safely and appropriately -Communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and stakeholders about student progress and concerns -Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices -Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support student success -Promote inclusion and respect within the school community Qualifications: -RBT Certification -Experience working with students with behavioral challenges or special needs -Knowledge of behavior management techniques and evidence-based interventions -Strong communication and interpersonal skills -Crisis intervention and de-escalation training (e.g., CPI, Safe Crisis Management) preferred -Patience, empathy, and commitment to student well-being Required Clearances: -PA Child Abuse Clearance (within 1 year) -FBI Fingerprint Clearance for Pennsylvania (within 1 year) -PA State Police Background Report (within 1 year) -TB Test (within 3 months) -CPR and First Aid Certification -Act 126 Reporter Training Certificate #education
