About: Bergenn Financial Group is a local, independent financial planning and investment management firm dedicated to helping individuals and families build, protect, and enjoy their wealth with clarity and confidence. Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Planning Intern, on-site, to support our advisor and service team. This role offers hands-on exposure to financial planning, operations, and the day-to-day workings of a professional advisory firm. Interns will work closely with the lead financial advisor and team members to gain experience in key areas such as account management, financial and retirement planning, market research, operations, compliance and firm marketing. This internship is ideal for students interested in financial planning, finance, economics, business, or related fields who want practical experience beyond the classroom. Eligibility is limited to undergraduate students who are matriculating Juniors or Seniors. Applicants must be a Junior or Senior at the time of application or at the start of the internship. This program is not intended for graduate students or recent graduates. What You'll Do Assist with client onboarding and account setup processes Organize and maintain client files and documentation Support financial planning data entry and plan updates Help prepare materials for client meetings Update tasks and notes in our CRM system Assist with workflow documentation and process improvement Support firm projects related to planning, operations, marketing and/or events Requirements What We're Looking For Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Interest in financial planning, wealth management, or business operations Enrolled in a bachelor's program in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field Discretion and confidentiality Ability to work independently & as part of a team Comfortable working with technology and learning new systems Proficiency or familiarity with Excel & financial modeling is a plus Professional communication skills Dependable, proactive, and willing to learn Benefits What You'll Gain Real-world experience inside a financial planning firm Exposure to workflows and financial planning software and research tools Mentorship from experienced professionals A clear understanding of career paths in financial planning A structured, supportive learning environment Networking opportunities Paid
