Job Description: Cardiology Technician II is an advanced-level professional specializing in cardiac diagnostics and device management. This role performs all Cardiology Technician duties while serving as a departmental resource for technology, device programming, and optimization. Responsibilities include advanced ECG interpretation, stress testing, ambulatory monitoring, implantable device enrollment, patient education, scheduling, and other office duties. The technician collaborates with physicians, nurses, and device clinic specialists to ensure seamless care delivery and supports quality improvement, fiscal stewardship, and technology development initiatives. Experience/Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited program in cardiovascular technology or equivalent is preferred. Knowledge of patient care standards and practices acquired through completion of courses in college level physical and biological sciences and/or completion of a CNA training program or an EMT training program. Knowledge of ECG interpretive skills (identification and differentiation of arrhythmia). Six months or more' experience in cardio diagnostics, knowledge of medical terminology. 1-2 years of experience performing stress testing and managing ambulatory monitoring devices preferred. Proficiency with MUSE or similar cardiac data management systems; multi-vendor device data platforms (Care Link, Merlin.net, Latitude, Biotronik) required. Current BLS certification (or obtained within 90 days of hire) per organizational policy (e.g., AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross Professional Rescuer with AED). Certified Cardiovascular Technician (CCT), Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT), or Cardiac Device Remote Monitoring Specialist (CDRMS) certification within 6 months of hire. ACLS within one year of hire. If licensed in the state of WI, employee must maintain current licensure.
