Personal Bankers are responsible for providing financial solutions and excellent service to customers. They assist customers with opening and closing accounts, processing transactions, and offering other products and services. They also perform branch operation functions and ensure compliance with regulations and policies. Responsibilities Provide and demonstrate superior customer service standards Develop and retain customer relationships Promote a positive and professional image of the bank in the community Open and close the branch and vaults following secure procedures Create accounts in the core system (DDA, Savings, CDs, and IRAs) Process deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other items Inform customers of other products and services Assist customers with CD secured loans, night depository, ATM cash balancing, closing accounts, bank related services, legal documentation, and other inquiries Secure and properly handle all cash and bank instruments Ensure branch compliance with BSA regulations and other policies and procedures Handle Savings Bonds redemption (Full-Service Branches) Manage and respond to e-mail and phone messages timely Prepare documents for accurate and timely scanning Perform assigned QC/QA tasks and projects with a high level of attention to details Perform additional duties as assigned by branch management Assist with collecting items for Audits and Exams Assist with requisition orders Review and monitor new accounts for potential fraud activity Communicate professionally with back-office support and the bank's affiliates Remain flexible and equipped to respond to the bank's continuity plan Remain flexible and available to respond to higher volume days Complete ongoing compliance training through Crescent Academy and ABA Skills and Qualifications 2+ years of branch retail experience 1+ years of cash handling experience Associate degree (A.A.) preferred 15 % Travel in the New Orleans region Proficient with banking technology, financial services, and regulations Proficient with using Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Adobe Knowledge and understanding of banking industry laws and regulations Proficient with Banking technology and software solutions Excellent initiative and organizational skills Excellent written, verbal and phone etiquette communications skills Independent and motivated individual who requires little supervision Strong interpersonal skills, and determination are essential characteristics Understand basic accounting rules related to debits and credits Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities required of the employee for this job.
