POSITION SUMMARY Summary/ObjectiveThe Maintenance Supervisor works in cooperation with the Maintenance Manager to coordinate the maintenance and equipment needs of the facilities. Ensures the facilities and grounds are maintained in accordance with relevant regulations, agency standards, and fiscal consideration. Develops, implements, and reviews regularly site-specific maintenance logs for each facility. Conducts inspections of each facility with the relevant manager; provides a summary of maintenance recommendations Evaluates long-term needs in relation to major projects and property improvements and develops a five-year plan outlining same in cooperation with relevant consultants designated by the agency. Coordinates, arranges, and supervises or provides for the completion of corrective and preventive maintenance in accordance with agency operating procedures, practices, and financial considerations. Ensures facilities equipment and furnishings are maintained in safe, operable condition and/or arrange for replacement. Develops, implements, and reviews equipment records (included in maintenance logs) using CMMS system. Establishes procedures and contacts to ensure timely repairs of equipment requiring minor repairs on a frequent basis. Secures equipment bids and makes recommendations for purchase when replacement or new equipment is required. Assist with the purchasing of spare parts and maintaining equipment inventory May arrange for or provide training for personnel as it relates to the safety and maintenance needs of facilities. Provides staff training in a variety of safety and maintenance topics including the effective utilization of the maintenance logs, completion of routine maintenance specific to the facility, equipment operations, and so forth. Attends and participates in training opportunities and seminars relevant to this position. Participates in the development of policies and procedures related to maintenance. Other duties as assigned. Education and ExperienceRequired High school diploma or equivalent Associate's degree (preferred) 5 years of experience in all phases of building and/or machine maintenance. 1-3 years of experience with machine automation, including robotics 1-3 years supervising/leading a team of technicians Minimum Physical Requirements Regularly required to bend, kneel, stoop, crawl, climb ladders both caged and un-caged as well as stairs and other equipment. Capable of walking long distances. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Capable of working and operating man lifts at a height of 35 feet in the air.
