Job Description Maintenance Technician - PM Shift Food Manufacturing | Northern Illinois A well-established food manufacturer with over 80 years of success is adding to its maintenance team following a major facility expansion. Why You’ll Want This Role 2-2-3 Schedule - Work only 6 months out of the year Built-in extra days off for better work-life balance Stable, growing company with a people-first culture Recently completed a large-scale expansion Strong track record of internal promotions Key Responsibilities Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on production machinery and facility support equipment Troubleshoot production equipment and plant mechanical systems, implementing long-term solutions Assist with equipment changeovers and line startups Diagnose and repair mechanical components including: Gearboxes, sprockets/chains, belts, clutches, bearings, brakes, seals, and gaskets Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives and team-based projects Provide suggestions to improve processes and equipment reliability What We’re Looking For 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment OR 3+ years of experience working with industrial equipment such as boilers, chillers, or HVAC Strong mechanical background in a production setting Basic computer literacy Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and work independently in a fast-paced environment About the Company Over 80 years in business Multiple Midwest facilities Strong reputation for employee development and internal advancement Continued investment in people, equipment, and growth We understand that no one makes a change unless it’s better than what they’re doing today.
