Please see attached job description for full details.Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in learning behavior specialist 1 (LSB1) or equivalent.Performance Responsibilities: Demonstrate support for the mission, beliefs, and goals of MSD114 Provide direct instruction in academic and/or functional skill areas to students with disabilities in a resource or inclusive setting Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs in accordance with IDEA and ISBE regulations Modify curriculum and adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet diverse student needs Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress and inform instructional planning Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive practices and ensure student access to the general education curriculum Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including IEPs, progress reports, and documentation of services Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress, concerns, and goals Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, IEP meetings, and professional learning communities Support implementation of behavior intervention plans and positive behavior supports, when applicable Maintain compliance with timelines and procedures for evaluation, eligibility, and service delivery Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current with best practices in special education Assumes responsibility for other duties as may be assigned by director of special education or the building principal Reports To: Director of Special Education / Building Principal Terms of Employment: Salary and Benefits based on Collective Bargaining Agreement Application Procedure: Complete application on Manhattan School District's Website: Apply Now!
