Along with competitive pay, employees can also earn performance-based cash incentives. Salary Range $120,400.00 - $198,700.00 What Is the Opportunity? Travelers is looking for a passionate Software Engineer II to help transform our Technology landscape. Your primary collaboration will be with stakeholders in Human Resources, driving advanced engineering initiatives. You will engage in the design, development, testing, and implementation of system solutions based on user specifications. This role includes consulting with users to gather requirements, defining technical specifications, and coordinating problem-solving efforts. What Will You Do? Lead software engineering initiatives within Workday Integration, including analysis, design, development, and configuration with precision and efficiency. Build collaborative relationships across the organization while navigating its complexities. Analyze and resolve complex defects and incidents, escalating issues when necessary. Independently address well-scoped and loosely defined challenges. Continuously seek opportunities to enhance your technical skills and understand the implications of changes within Workday on other systems. Provide mentorship to junior team members to foster their growth. Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned. Production Support and Troubleshooting: Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of defects, including coordinating resources and managing ticket workflows. Communicate proactively about the status of requests for changes, enhancements, and defects. Simultaneously support multiple projects as needed. What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have? Four years of programming or development experience. Two years of experience with Workday integrations involving Report Writer, EIB, and Workday Studio. Experience with Workday Extend is preferred. Intermediate skills in deliverable management, including effective estimation and timely delivery. Demonstrated domain expertise and an understanding of technical concepts pertinent to the role. A strong problem-solver adept at dividing complex issues into manageable parts. Excellent communication skills, capable of clearly articulating information and collaborating effectively. Intermediate leadership abilities with a focus on creating a supportive learning environment. What is a Must Have? Bachelor's degree in computer science, related STEM field, or equivalent experience. Four additional years of software engineering experience. What Is in It for You?
