Join Grant Thornton as an HRIS Manager specializing in Oracle HCM Absence Management. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead our leave technology strategy across the firm. We are looking for a strategic and detail-oriented HRIS Manager with extensive experience in Oracle HCM Absence Management. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire leave management process, ensuring compliance across diverse jurisdictions, optimizing workflows, and enhancing our technology ecosystem for absence management. As part of our People & Community team, you will collaborate with various teams including People Operations/Leaves, Payroll, Benefits, HR Business Partners, and global HR teams. Your role will also involve working closely with IT and cross-functional partners to ensure that our Leave of Absence (LOA) systems, data flows, and policies are effective and aligned with our strategic goals. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Strategy Act as the firm's expert in all leave-related processes, policies, and Oracle HCM Absence Management functionalities. Direct the LOA operations lifecycle, promoting consistency and compliance. Identify and implement process improvements and automation enhancements to improve employee experience. Oracle HCM Absence Management Oversight Manage the configuration and optimization of the Oracle Absence Management module, including various global leave plans. Ensure compliance with current legal requirements and streamline approval workflows. Lead user acceptance testing (UAT), regression testing, and validation for system updates and enhancements. Document all configuration decisions and process maps accurately. Data Quality, Integrations & Issue Resolution Oversee the integrity of absence data flowing to downstream systems and reporting platforms. Monitor system activities to troubleshoot issues, ensuring resolution of complex absence transactions. Collaborate with IT for seamless system connectivity and data governance. Operational Excellence & Support Be responsible for Tier 1 support for absence-related inquiries and handle escalations. Work with Benefits and Payroll teams to guarantee accurate compensation and policy alignment. Global Projects & Change Management Lead absence-related projects within HRIS strategic programs, including M&A onboarding and policy standardization. Manage change adoption through thorough documentation, effective communication, and targeted training. Qualifications: Required 5+ years of experience in HRIS or leave of absence management, with at least 3 years overseeing Oracle HCM Absence Management. Experience managing leave programs with compliance across various states/countries. Strong knowledge of Oracle HCM data structures, workflows, and integrations. Demonstrated leadership capability in projects or teams. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and data interpretation skills. Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with varied priorities. Proficient with Microsoft Office and adept at learning new technologies. Preferred Familiarity with Snowflake, Dayshape, OTBI reporting, or PowerPlatform integrations. Understanding of HR Helpdesk or ticketing workflows. Experience with M&A, systems transformation, or global HRIS initiatives. Bachelor's degree in HR, Information Systems, or a related field. The position is based in one of our offices located in Chicago, IL, Downers Grove, IL, Denver, CO, or Baltimore, MD, with a salary range of $120,000 to $180,000 per year.
