Head of Blockchain EngineeringAbout the Company Well-funded blockchain technology company IndustryInformation Technology and Services TypePrivately HeldAbout the Role The Company is in search of a Head of Blockchain Engineering to take on a pivotal role in the development of a ZK-native, privacy-preserving Layer 2 infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end technical stack, from protocol design to production rollout, and will work closely with cryptography and product teams to ensure the delivery of a high-performance zkEVM-based ledger. Key responsibilities include leading the engineering for a Layer 2 rollup, building and scaling a performant zkEVM with privacy guarantees, and optimizing zk circuits and prover performance. The role also involves recruiting, mentoring, and managing a multi-domain engineering team, as well as driving key decisions on sequencer design, DA layers, rollup tooling, and bridging. Applicants for this role at the company should have a proven track record in delivering a blockchain/L2/zkEVM product from inception to scale, with a minimum of 15 years' engineering experience, including at least 4 years in leading blockchain/L2 infra teams. Hands-on expertise with ZK systems and a deep understanding of Ethereum, rollups, and zkEVM mechanics are essential. The ideal candidate will also possess strong proficiency in Rust, Solidity, or zk circuit languages, and demonstrate exceptional leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills. Experience with stablecoins, privacy-preserving assets, or programmable wallets, as well as knowledge of sequencing, MEV protection, and interoperability frameworks, are considered advantageous.
