The primary duties of this position include: Plan, program, and maintain the traffic signal network and ITS equipment. Conducts field inspections and makes field adjustments. Configure and maintain the operation of the Town of Gilbert's Traffic Signal/ITS systems. Review traffic control plans and implement them using ITS equipment and software. Maintain and troubleshoot ITS databases, workstations, and servers for the Traffic Operations Center and the Town of Gilbert Traffic Signal Systems. Conduct traffic engineering studies using traffic counts to determine appropriate traffic control devices. Monitor traffic conditions and make traffic signal timing changes. LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONS: IMSA Work Zone Safety Certification. IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector. IMSA Traffic Signal Technician, Field Level 2. IMSA Traffic Signal Technician, Construction Level 2.
