Patient Care Tech

Under the direct supervision of licensed personnel, the Patient Care Technician will perform basic direct and indirect patient care duties in support of the treatment and care of patients. Reporting Relationship: Reports to: Nurse Manager QUALIFICATIONS: -Licensure Required; N.C. Nurse Aide I Registry. -High school graduate or GED required -BLS certification through the American Heart Association -Previous experience as nursing assistant in hospital setting is preferred, not required. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: -Excellent customer service skills -Demonstrates tact, versatility, and dependability -High degree of self-motivation and directional initiative -Positive attitude, demeanor and an effective team member -Ability to work at a rapid pace with numerous interruptions -Performs skills and competencies as defined in orientation checklist and annual departmental competency checklist if applicable -Demonstrates and maintains competencies specific to patient population servedWE VALUE CUSTOMER SERVICE: -Responsible for driving the SHCS culture through values and customer service standards -Accountable for outstanding customer service to all external and internal customers -Develops and maintains effective relationships through effective and timely communication -Takes initiative and action to respond, resolve and follow up regarding customer service issues with all customers in a timely manner
