ResponsibilitiesMayo Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (APP) - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our world-class Hematology and Oncology team. This role will primarily support the Bone Marrow Transplant and Myeloid disorders disease group within our outpatient practice.As a valued member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive, evidence-based care to patients across all stages of their treatment journey, including curative and palliative-intent therapies. This includes managing patients undergoing bone marrow transplantation and CAR T-cell therapy.Key Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive patient assessments including history and physical examinations. Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the care team. Monitor and evaluate therapeutic interventions for effectiveness. Educate and counsel patients and families to support informed decision-making and adherence to treatment. Prescribe medications in accordance with Florida state laws and institutional policies. Collaborate across specialties and refer to appropriate services as needed. Perform procedures including bone marrow biopsies and administration of intrathecal chemotherapy via Ommaya reservoir. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and policy development. Engage in institutional research and educational activities. Attend and contribute to disease group discussions and multidisciplinary meetings. QualificationsNurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current FL RN and APRN license and certification as a FNP, ANP, ACNP.Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the FL State Board of Medical Practice.Additional Qualifications:Active BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross at start date and DEA registration required.Previous hematology/oncology or transplant experience preferredExemption StatusExemptCompensation DetailEducation, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.Benefits EligibleYesScheduleFull TimeHours/Pay Period80Schedule DetailsMonday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm.Weekend ScheduleNo weekends or HolidaysInternational AssignmentNoSite DescriptionJust as our reputation has spread beyond our Minnesota roots, so have our locations.
