Job DescriptionPosition SummaryYouth Sport Camps Counselors help lead fun, active summer programs across a variety of sports and activities. Counselors are selected for their coaching skills, sports knowledge, enthusiasm, and dedication to making a positive impact on kids. They guide daily camp activities, support camper safety and enjoyment, and contribute to a caring, energetic team focused on creating a memorable summer experience for every child. Counselors may work 40hrs/week, must be available M - F from 8:30am - 4:30pm It is not necessary to work every week, but full weeks are required As a staff member with CSU Youth Sport Camps, you will be acting as a mandated reporter. Certified Lifeguard with certification lasting through August 2026 Certified in Adult CPR/AED/First Aid with certifications lasting through August 2026 Demonstrate integrity, honesty, dependability, responsibility Preferred Job Qualifications Use available resources to manage situations, demonstrate situational judgement Essential Duties Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical service Pool / deck maintenance such as squeegee pool deck of water, organize and store pool equipment when not in use, check lap lanes are tightened and in working order, ensure towels are replaced and restocked Be punctual, and communicate changes in work schedule Application InstructionsRequired application materials: Resume and Cover LetterIn your cover letter and or resume, please address the following: Experiences that would qualify you to work in each of the YSC camps Previous experience working with school-aged children CPR and First aid certification Please upload one combined document that includes all of the require application materials.
