We are seeking a proactive IT Audit Risk Consultant with deep expertise in technology and finance business processes to partner closely with Finance and IT teams. This role is responsible for anticipating and aligning priorities as initiatives evolve, identifying IT risks within core finance processes, and developing actionable recommendations and mitigation plans. The focus is on operational risk management and issue resolution.Ability to work onsite 3 days per week (Monday thru Wednesday) in San Francisco, CA 94110- may have flexibility once project ramps upDuration: 6 months (could convert from interim to perm, if right fit)Pay Rate Range: $90/hr-$100/hr Manage IT risk and control activities across Finance and IT functions, ensuring operational readiness for new initiatives. Coordinate day-to-day program-level activities such as segregation of duties and security access reviews. Review and maintain RAID logs ; triage issues and risks as they arise. Recommend action plans and execute remediation steps for identified gaps, including IT and security-related risks. Provide actionable recommendations to address ad hoc issues arising from rapid growth, acquisitions, and changes in the AI-driven IT environment. Evaluate control deficiencies, propose best-practice solutions, and manage end-to-end remediation efforts. Proactively propose process improvements and action steps to strengthen controls and reduce risk. Partner with cross-functional teams both internally and externally with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and finance business teams -including Business Process Owners, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), InfoSec, Cybersecurity, and Engineering, and external auditors-to drive resolution of risks and process gaps. Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and drive accountability for risk remediation. IT Audit Background: Strong experience in IT audit and operational/internal audit, with a focus on business process risk-not just technical controls. ERP Implementation Exposure: Candidates who have IT risk and controls experience as part of ERP implementations with working knowledge of business processes are highly preferred. Proven experience in IT risk assessment and operational risk management within the technology industry. Strong understanding of standard application controls and ERP business processes. Familiarity with Oracle Cloud, Salesforce, Databricks, and/or Workday (preferred). Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including external auditors and offshore teams. Self-starter mindset: Ability to take control, address issues with limited direction, and drive solutions.
