JOB SUMMARY:Under the supervision of the RN/Licensed Care Provider, is responsible for applying the nursing process through the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of patient care. Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing. Demonstrates clinical competence in performing, assisting and/or documenting tasks and procedures with excellence and quality, per department standards, regulatory guidelines and within scope of practice, using age/developmentally appropriate approach. Implements plan of care, provides patient and family teaching, follow-up, and discharge (after visit summaries) instructions with excellence and quality.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA)CA Licensed Vocational NurseAssociate degree or Nursing Diploma from an accredited LVN program.IV Therapy and Blood Withdrawal - LVN CertificationPALS- AHA (within 3 months of hire)PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bilingual English/Spanish1+ year of pediatric experienceThe current salary range for this position is $34.33 to $47.74A candidate's placement in the range will be determined based on the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
